#Problem
caused by
1. A problem with your Graphic
card driver; this is very common with new graphics cards.
2. You have a very large data overlay being displayed
- so the chart takes a long time to redraw
#Solution.
1. Graphics card driver
Note: Vista/Windows 7 normaly don't have this option - the driver is automaticaly restated. Update the driver
It is very common for graphic card manufacturers to supply cards before the software drivers are fully completed or tested.
The problem is so common that Microsoft has a special settings option to overcome the problem !
For XP and 2000 (other operating systems are similar)
Note: If the problem persists with no acceleration, it can still be a graphics driver problem and you should try to download an
up to date graphics driver.
Sometimes changing color depth or resolution can help if the above does not solve the problem
2.
Select/create a new overlay.
Use Chart
menu , then Overlay toolbar or check the Databases selected (Chart menu)
3. Check logs
Check own or fishing logs - create a new one or reset current on (log menu)
Check AIS position log file, this can get large very quickly in busy areas. Try setting an automatically creation of a new log every 24 hours.
AIS toolbar settings then Logs.
