Can't the see boat position on screen (symbol or in position box)

a. Check that your GPS is switched on and receiving an updated position, ensure its not in demo mode and has a clear view of the sky ( not indoors!)

b. Check that the cable is correctly connected to your laptop and any USB serial drivers are installed (see instructions that came with the GPS or the converter)

c. Use the NMEA monitor window to check that data is being received (menu Lite->View, seaPro->Window)
If no NMEA sentences are being received, use the Serial ports 'Auto scan' option to detect and set up the serial ports. (menu Setup->Serial ports)
Typical position sentences are RMC,GGA,GGL

d. Check that you have not selected the wrong position sentences (default is any)
Lite select menu option GPS->Setup or in seaPro Setup->Nav Properties. Set Talker and Sentence to 'Any'.

The default setting is 'Any'
