#Summary
The dongle is not being see by the system (not lighting up) or you want to uninstall an old drivers and install latest driver (32 or 64 bit)
Most likely causes of the dongle not being seen are:
You have inserted the dongle before installing seaPro and the system has installed an old driver
Or
You are running a Windows 64 bit system and have 6.x version which only installs a 32 bit driver
Try the following :
1. Make sure you have downloaded all the updates for the operating system
Note: Operating update requirements are
XP Service pack 3
Vista SP 1
Windows 7 requires all the system updates (or SP1 if available) to work correctly from a new install .
Use the windows Update option (control panel)
2. Uninstall any previous dongle drivers (required as uninstalling seaPro will not remove any drivers loaded by default).
Leave the dongle inserted
Open the Device manager Control panel ->System then Device manager ( varies depending on operating system)
Scroll down to the Universal Serial Bus controller (at bottom of list) – expand and uninstall anything that has the words HASP , Aladdin or SafeNet
The uninstall is done by a right click on the itemy and select uninstall, given the opportunity select 'Delete the driver software'.
Uninstall any other items that might have a yellow question mark against it
Remove the dongle
3. Download latest driver here
This is installs both 32 and 64 bit drivers for Vista and Windows7
4. Plug in the dongle, the device should be detected and the dongle light will come on.
5. Install the latest version of seaPro for your dongle (if not already installed)
If the above fails
If using Windows 7 there may be a security issue with the machine that is preventing driver installation.
Try switching off the User Access Control (UAC) -
Control panel, User Accounts then "Change User Account Control settings".
Set the slider to the bottom.
You will be asked to reboot.
Once done, re-install the driver. You can then restore the UAC to normal settings if required.
For other operating systems check if your antii-virus/security software is blocking.
