1. Preparation: Before upgrading to Windows 7 /Windows 8
a) Make a copy of the c:\charts folder on each machine on to a external hard disk or memory stick.
This will save you having to re-install the charts once have upgraded to your new Windows system
b). If you haven’t already done so make a note of any of your special seaPro settings that you might want to setup again. For example preferences for route settings or your server and client settings in Setup->Network- Setup NMEA network.
c) Download the installation CD1 from the web site on to your external hard disk/memory stick
/downloads/full_CDs/download/Download.html
or you can use the latest seaPro DVD if its been shipped to you - the download is recommended.
2. Update your operating system
Important you must complete all the Windows updates before installing seaPro - this usually involves a large number of downloads via the Windows update.
Check you have the latest graphics card driver installed - this is not always updated automatically by Windows update.
3. Install seaPro and charts
Copy the saved charts folder back from the external hard disk to the c: drive (c:\charts)
Install the latest version of seaPro using set Setup3000.exe in the download CD1 or on the DVD
Select the required version of seaPor you want to install.
Alternatively you can run setup.exe on the DVD and select the required options
Note: Depending on your security settings you may need to right click and select 'Run as Administrator'
4. Upgrade the dongle with the seaPro upgrade unlock code
Insert the seaPro dongle
Using Windows explorer browser to the unlock folder on the CD1 download or the DVD
Run the unlock.exe program (you may need to right click and select Run as Administrator)
Enter the supplied unlock coded.
Note: If doing multiple seaPro upgrades make sure you use the right code for the specific dongle.
The dongle number is shown in the title bar of the unlock dialog box.

7. Start seaPro and rebuild your chart folio and setup any previous noted settings.
