Autopilot not receiving NMEA data - On selecting Track mode on autopilkot get message 'No data' or similar.

In seaPro :

1. Check that a route has been selected  and that a waypoint is active.
Check if seaPro is showing a XT error etc in the ‘Actual’ panel etc

  seaPro standard and above lite
Panel showiung autopilot data lite enroute

  Panel showiung autopilot data

3. Check that the serial port used to send data to the to the  autopilot has been set up as the NMEA TX port in Setup-Serial ports. This may or may not be the same as the one used to receive GPS data etc.

  Panel showiung autopilot data

4. Use the NMEA monitor window (Window NMEA monitor) to see if  the  NMEA sentences being sent  (Tx column) APA,XT,APB etc.

Note: This only confirms that they are being  sent to the specified serial port and not that they are being sent over the cable.
If they are appearing in the NMEA monitor then the problem is  outside seaPro

Hardware and external:

5. Check that the  Serial Tx port pin is correctly connected to the auto-pilot instrument system (receive).
See Tech note TN018 for pin connections on the 9 pin serial D type connector

6. Check for a Cabling problem betweenthe serial port and Auto pilot

7. Check that the Auto pilot or  dedicated chart plotter/auto/pilot system is wired/setup  correctly and is not faulty.
